Vintage at the Vineyards

Wow, what a great weekend! The weather was perfect, the cars were outstanding and fun was had by all.

We had nearly 300 cars in attendance with quite a few rare BMWs represented. Pictures from the event are already posted on the bmw2002faq.com and myE28.com as well as other BMW sites. Official V@V photos of the entry tent and event will be posted on this site very soon. We will also have some posters, calendars and photo books for sale as well. Check back soon!

A big thanks goes out to everyone who attended, especially our friends who drove/flew from points all over the globe. Thank you to all the volunteers and our gracious sponsors, especially Liberty Mutual who made it possible for us to keep this event FREE! This year Vintage at the Vineyards was a huge success and we can’t wait to do it again in 2010. We hope everyone had safe drives home and we’ll see you again next year!

Thanks once again Scott and Patti for your efforts in the 364 days leading up to the event. Tons of fun and really well thought out this year, as evidenced by all of the comments. Jeffrey and Adeline are already planning their return next year as they fly home to the Netherlands!

And thanks too to the members of the 02 Group ‘family’ who helped out during the event. A cool bunch of folks to hang with year round.

Scott and Patti- Thanks for yet another great year at V@V!!! This is honestly the only even my wife and I go to and are able to make it sort of a “vacation” for us. Thank you for making it worth our while and it was definately worth every minute… even the 5 hour drive to Asheville! HAHA! Thanks and see you again next year!

Scott, Patti and the 02 Group,

A zillion thanks for you and the Group’s dedication towards this event!!! Who did you assign weather coordination and control? Certainly he or she deserves a new pair of lederhosen for THAT effort. It was great to see ya’ll and to acquaint and reacquaint with other like-minded 02 owners and other psychos – and smash a few bugs coming and going there too. Great new venue, great drives, great cars (with many ingenious and diabolical modifications), great support for dachshund rescue and most importantly great friends; what more could be asked of a weekend? Did I say it was GREAT? On behalf of the Tidewater 02 Gruppe, thank you!

That was just the bestest most awsome BMW weekend ever!

Huge thanks to the Sturdys, TheO2Group, The Shelton Folks, and any/everybody who had anything to do with making it so great, which actually includes everybody who was there!

Scotti, Patti, ‘02 Group, and all that help:

Thank you for an outstanding event and extended weekend… it was a blast and better than ever!! We couldn’t have asked for better weather, venue, local towns, roads, etc…. EXCEPTIONAL!! I enjoyed meeting many new folks, e.g., “02 gang”, as well as some from last year and the old familiar faces in the “e28 gang”. Thanks for making this wonderful memory possible.

    Best Regards,
    RoyW

Vintage at the Vineyards has become a must-go event for my wife Maria and I. She had never been much into “car events” until she joined me last year, and this year she almost liked it more than I did! We are already starting to plan for next year.

Thanks to Scott, Patti and the 02 Group folks for organizing this great event. Thanks to the sponsors also, who make it possible to have this at no cost to all BMW enthusiasts.

    See y’all next year!

    Harry from Puerto Rico.

    Wow Scott!

Each year keeps getting better. Ellen and I attended on Saturday with close friends (also BMW owners) and had a wonderful time. Perfect weather….beautiful site..and hundreds of BMWs!

    What more can anyone ask?

    Congratulations,

    Clark
